Adek Enhanced Grip

If minimising slip risk is a paramount requirement to your project specification, Adek Enhanced Grip is the perfect choice. Not only does it offer a non-combustible fire rating of A2FL-s1 but it has been specifically developed to provide exceptional levels of grip in wet and dry conditions.

Both Adek Comfort Grip and Adek Enhanced Grip achieve a classification of low slip potential when tested to BS7976-2. However, Adek Enhanced Grip provides an additional 15% grip in dry conditions and an additional 20% grip in wet conditions, over and above the Adek Comfort Grip range proving it really is an enhanced grip decking system.

The Enhanced Grip range has a low profile (1mm) raised ridge running the full length of the boards. As well as providing excellent grip these ridges create an alternative and more commercial aesthetic. The chamfered shoulders of the ridges mean the boards are still comfortable underfoot, whilst providing exceptionally high levels of grip.

With the flexibility of board widths available and the additional support leg options, the Adek system is ideal for projects where both fire and slip resistance are critical factors.

Adek is a lightweight, non-combustible decking system which has been designed with the practicalities of everyday living in mind. With a choice of decking systems Adek is suitable for a range of applications including high rise balconies, roof terraces and walkways.

The clean lines, sleek appearance and concealed fixings reflect trends in modern building design but Adek is not all about its appearance. Manufactured from 100% recycled aluminium with a durable decorative coating that provides both excellent slip and wear resistance means the system easily stands up to the rigours of everyday living. Although Adek Comfort Grip and Enhanced Grip are new products to the market, Ecodek, the driving force behind these aluminium decking systems, has a long-standing pedigree in the supplying boards to commercial balcony and roof terrace projects.

This in-depth knowledge and experience is reflected within the design of Adek, with features including:

  • Both wide span profiles for rapid installation plus narrow equivalents allowing flexibility in refurbishment projects

  • Different profile depths to allow for minimum threshold height options

  • Concealed face fixings for easy replacement of boards in situ via replaceable channel covers

  • The added benefit the replaceable channel covers allowing the concealment of residual holes following the use of lifting eyes bolts in off-site construction of prefabricated balconies.
